Like many before, my early creative impulses were so quickly and ruthlessly dismissed by a succession of art teachers at school that I turned to science in search of Vocation. After graduating from University I worked in the chemical Industry for 3 years and then moved into Finance and Business for 15 years. |
Playing with contrasting media and textures or mixing techniques, even the materials themselves are enough to generate a new idea, a new work. New ideas are worked through quickly and spontaneously in my head and in the materials themselves rather than on paper. I like to work boldly and intuitively and rarely construct preliminary sketches or models, thus ensuring that all the energy and inspiration involved in it’s creation will be there in the completed piece |
